| The star of the Lizzie McGuire movie was paid $1 million for her role.
According to an article in today's Wall Street Journal, Hilary Duff -- who portrays the Lizzie character -- earned $15,000 per television show and about $1 million for the movie.
However, for any future movie sequels Duff, 15, apparently will raise her salary to $5 million, the Journal reported, and for additional television episodes "would seek many times more than the roughly $15,000 an episode" she currently earns.
Walt Disney Co., the entertainment giant behind the television show and movie, is reportedly considering paying the child star the higher price.
The Journal said Duff and her mother "aren't necessarily intent on continuing down the Lizzie path."
